“IF THE ONLY PRAYER YOU EVER SAY IN YOUR ENTIRE LIFE IS THANK YOU, IT WOULD BE ENOUGH.”
In our country we have a special day set aside to remind us all to give thanks. We’re familiar with the story of how it began and if you think about it, it’s really a good idea. It provides enthusiasm for people wanting to get together with family, friends, and neighbors in collective thanks for the many blessings in our lives.
For others, this holiday offers a chance to share and pay-it-forward by helping serve food and provide services to those in need. On this day millions of people across our land will travel, spend time with family and friends and even find time to shop and bring gifts. Whether this day is marked by a dinner with all the trimmings or a simple turkey sandwich if you find yourself engaged in service on this day, it’s a time of both giving and gratitude that makes this day very special.
Each day can be one of thanksgiving, not so much in the big things, but in all the small ways of daily life that make possible what we call Everyday.
Aside from all the bumps and things that don’t quite go our way on the road of life let’s take a moment wherever we may be to join in gratitude for the gift of being able to be part if it.
” Happy Thanksgiving”
